Flag day in Pointe des Mangles makes patriotism shine with T-shirts made by RAWA artists and local people... Early morning on 18th Mai the Daihatsu truck started from Sources Chaudes on its way to the most populated town in Anse Rouge area. The truck got almost stuck in mud, as the rainy season had flooded large areas on the way to Pointes des Mangles the night before. In fact Pt. des Mangles is situated on a river delta of the "Riviere de Colombie", but due to a slight elevation in the middle, the water flows to the sides of it... The formations were done in perfect synch, as months before the kids were training hard with the help of Jagatbandhu the AMURT-RAWA coordinator. They did a workshop of T-shirt silk screen printing and manufactured the T-shirts themselves.
