The Camp 09' A.Kanan/Missouri was small but beautiful...

Despite many calls to change/reschedule/modify etc., we finally had to settle on starting because of the RED CROSS first aid training. This happened to be our first program and was very instructive. lucky we decided to start early because of the language barriers we needed much more time than planned. Just in time for our trainer to rush off to another program that same afternoon. Thanks very much for the Willow Springs red cross chapter and its part-time volunteer from the police force to train us.

Top left : bandaging a broken arm/elbow

Top right : posing off with a self-made bandage

Bottom right : posing with multiple wounds being bandaged on one person.

The next day we were off to visit the adventure place per se....The

Phoenix Ranch in Birchtree / MO

about 20 miles away. With its big wilderness in which we got lost twice, we were on edge, but all found the beautiful cave and recovered its treasure with the map that was assembled from various pieces recovered from way-points... John Stanisloi was so grateful to invite us to a sweat-lodge the next day.

All in all a fantastic, intense program where all regained their courage, determination and energy to face their obstacles of daily life.
